FAQ

Common Questions Answered

We understand that you may have questions regarding our services and what to expect during your visit. Here are some frequently asked questions to provide clarity and help you feel prepared.

What types of massages do you offer?

At Kinetic Bodywork, we provide a variety of massage types, including Swedish, Deep tissue, and Tai massage. Each session is tailored to meet your individual needs, ensuring an optimal experience.  In addition to traditional massage techniques, we can provide myofascial release, Cupping, Graston (Gua Sha), Acupressure, Kinesio and Athletic support tape, TENS/EMS, Hot Stones and more.  Acupuncture and Dry needling are not available.

How do I schedule an appointment?

Scheduling an appointment is easy! You can visit our home page and use "book now" or "book your session" buttons.  You will be directed through a calendar for date and time selection.  If you need assistance with scheduling contact us and we will be happy to help.  Text and Email are the most effective means of communication.

How do I know which service to select and what to expect?  What if I choose the wrong one?

There are detailed explanations of each service on the homepage to help you make a decision.  There is no "wrong" decision.  Try them all.  Every session has the possibility to be integrated, one into the other.  You can also change your mind anytime.  Service selection helps to ensure that the correct amount of time is set aside and that the therapist is reasonably prepared to meet your needs and expectations.

What should I wear for my massage?

Many of the services can be performed with the client dressed in comfortable and flexible clothing.  Loose and flexible clothing, such as athletic wear work well for Tai massage, assisted stretching and any modality not requiring direct contact with the skin.  Deep tissue and Swedish massage are traditionally performed directly on the bare skin.  During those sessions you will be given the opportunity to disrobe to your comfort level and the therapist will practice skillful draping techniques to ensure your comfort throughout the session.

Can I bring someone with me?

Absolutely yes.  If you want someone to accompany you to your session, they will be very welcome.  As long as that person's presence does not interfere with the ability to perform the techniques you have requested, they are welcome to sit in the waiting area or even in the treatment room if appropriate.  Any person under the age of 18 will have a parent or guardian with them, every session, no exceptions.
